We partner with other Presbyterian churches in Denver Presbytery in support of the Presbytery of Zimbabwe. That nation has suffered greatly over the past few decades, and Zimbabwean Presbyterians have been making a difference in providing food, education, HIV/AIDS education and other services to the people of that country. We are grateful for our partnership with them and the opportunities to serve that it provides.
In June 2014, we gave our monthly mission offering to support Team Zimbabwe, a non-profit charity ride of the annual Elephant Rock Ride in Castle Rock, CO. All proceeds from the event went to benefit the Heather Chimhoga Orphan Care Center in northeastern Zimbabwe, where the organization is now feeding more than 1,000 children every day! Our sponsored rider, Michael Whitman, rode 100km (62mi) as part of the event. All together, the program raised over $48,000.00 in support of the Heather Chimhoga Orphan Care Center.
