Our Community
Education & Fellowship
The community at Good Shepherd Presbyterian has a lot to offer! All ages are invited to engage and connect with one another by participating in our education or fellowship opportunities. Good Shepherd has active programs for children, youth and adults. We have Sunday morning programing, evening and mid-week opportunities, and seasonal events. No matter your age or life circumstances, we hope that you will find something to engage you at Good Shepherd. Please contact the church office for more information on the following programs:
-
Sunday school is each Sunday at 8:30 am for adults and 8:45 a.m. for children ages pre-school through high school (September thru May). A nursery is available all morning to age 5. We offer a preschool class for ages 3-5, classes for K through grade 5, and a youth class for middle and high school students.
-
We use the "We Believe" curriculum, which is lectionary-based, in children's Sunday school, . (Based on the Bible passages used by the church each week.) The preschool class uses the "Wee Believe" curriculum, which dovetails with the other classes.
-
Jr. Church for elementary and preschool aged children during worship, excluding Communion Sundays (first Sunday of the month, and certain Feast Days). Just as in the the Gospel of Mark, we believe the children should be gathered unto Jesus on these days where we remember Christ with bread and the cup.
-
Youth Group for middle and high school students meets every Sunday at 6:30 p.m. September through May. Join them for fun activities and interesting studies. (Some Sundays will not have evening youth group; these are typically service days or the Sunday of an overnight fellowship)
-
Youth Mission Trip: 2012 trip was to San Diego June 16-24. This summer, if the Lord wills, the youth will go to Oklahoma, and also some may choose to participate in the Triennium. For more information, contact the church office.
