Youth Group Schedule for May:
May 5th: Regularly scheduled class at 6:30 pm.
May 12th: No class- Stay home and honor thy mother.
May 19th: Regularly scheduled class at 6:30 pm.
May Confirmation Schedule:
We are now restarting the confirmation class after a hiatus over the month of March. Mary Kennedy and Jenni Braun will be leading this along with the help of several elders and leaders in our church. This is a condensed schedule, but we are trying to complete the confirmation workbook before they are confirmed on Sunday, May 26. We will be focusing primarily on the workbook – those field trips that were planned are very valuable, but due to the time constraints, we will try to incorporate them as part of youth group next school year.
Sunday, April 14, 5:00-6:30 p.m. in the Youth Room. We will cover Session 4 – workbook.
Sunday, April 21, 5:00-6:30 p.m. in the Youth Room. We will cover Session 5 – workbook.
Sunday, April 28, 11:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m. (after church) in the Youth Room. We will cover Session 6 – workbook.
Sunday, May 5, 5:00-6:30 p.m. in the Youth Room. We will cover Session 7 – workbook.
Sunday, May 12, No class this evening. Stay home and honor thy mother.
Sunday, May 19, 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. in Fellowship Hall to meet with session members and pastor.
5:00-6:30 p.m. in the Youth Room. We will cover Session 8 – workbook.
Sunday, May 26, Confirmation Ceremony during church in the Sanctuary.
Our young people will also be partnered with a mentor who has volunteered to share their faith journey and encourage the youth in their journey. Session 3 from the workbook will be covered with them at a time scheduled by those small groups. Please let Jenni know if you have any questions or concerns. Anyone who misses a session (anticipated for almost everyone at some point) can make this up with Jenni and Mary, a parent, or their mentor.
